John Legend celebrates nine years of marriage by releasing a romantic music video to his latest single “Wonder Woman.”
The 12-time Grammy Award-winning singer stars in the video alongside his pregnant wife Chrissy Teigen and their daughter Luna Simone, 6, and son Miles Theodore, 4.
The video begins with a shirtless Legend, switching between clips of him and his wife as he serenades the camera. Then, it cuts to a clip of the family hanging by the pool where Legend softly kisses Teigen’s baby bump, leaving fans gushing over the desired intimacy of the two celebrities.
“You make me wonder, woman / How do you do it? / Some superpower / I don’t understand,” sings Legend over guitar and piano on the R&B-pop track’s chorus. “You make me wonder, woman / How do you do it? / You’re superhuman / And I’m just a man.”
“Wonder Woman” was penned with intent to celebrate the grace and power of women, while Legend took the song as an opportunity to sing the praises of his wife of now nine years.
The video was filmed in the Tuscan region of Italy by filmmaker Nabil Elderkin, the man who actually introduced the couple in 2006 when directing the video for Legend’s number one hit “All of Me.”
Legend jumped on Twitter to share the exciting milestone with his fans. “I married my Wonder Woman 9 years ago today. Happy Anniversary, my love. You never cease to amaze me.”

The Multi-platinum artist released his eighth studio album, LEGEND, on September 9. Produced by Legend and 3-time Grammy Award-winner Ryan Tedder, the 24 track album breaks into Legend’s vulnerability, pain and healing alongside joy, spirituality and commitment.
The double album is split into two acts, with ACT I sharing the fulfillment of lust and adventure that comes with a Saturday night. ACT II plays into a soft Sunday morning with feelings of healing and soulfulness. Both parts of the album show intimate variations of Legend alongside his genuine lyrics.
Legend shared several singles from the album ahead of its release, including “Honey,” featuring Muni Long, “Dope,” featuring rapper J.I.D., and “All She Wanna Do,” featuring Saweetie, giving listeners a mix of genres from R&B to jazz to what Rolling Stone describes as “roller disco jam.” Other big names featured on the album include Rick Ross, Jazmine Sullivan.
With more celebration to come, Teigen announced she was pregnant with the couple’s rainbow baby and fourth child back in August after undergoing IVF treatment.
Teigen openly shared her emotions about the pregnancy.
“The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she shared. “1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way.”
“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘OK if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,” she added.
She continued, “I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”
