On May 21, 2022 around 12:22 PM, Lower Allen Township Police Officers observed a gold Ford Focus driving north in the 1200 block of Lower Allen Dr.  The registration came back as suspended due to insurance cancellation.  A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Cedric Hawkins Jr, who had a suspended drivers license.

Hawkins was later taken into custody for two bench warrants out of Dauphin County. While interacting with Hawkins and being in proximity to the vehicle, officers detected an odor of fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed marijuana use paraphernalia in the car. The vehicle was then impounded to apply for a search warrant.

The search of the vehicle located two black baggies in the center console, which contained suspected marijuana, along with a metal grinder containing marijuana residue and a blunt roller.  In addition two packs of cigars were also located in the center console and seized. 

Charges were filed and Hawkins failed to show up for his hearing. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
