Filming slopestyle mountain biking is a challenge in that we can’t just film anywhere – building a slopestyle course worthy of the best riders in the world requires some pretty heavy lifting. Luckily, there’s quite a few spots on the planet that already have the bones to support a slopestyle build for the likes of Emil Johansson, Lukas Skiöld and Alma Wiggberg. Alicante, Spain’s La Fenasosa Bike Park is one of them. The trick up their sleeve? Nico Vink’s incredible ability to sculpt and shape jumps. In case you forgot, Hardline pits racers against one of the gnarliest tracks in the world, with huge drops and a slew of 75-plus-foot jumps. It’s a combination racing and freeriding unlike any other. Goldstone had never raced this track before, but

Hannah Bergemann and Transition Bikes just announced the return of Hangtime – a women’s freeride mountain bike event on the legendary Blue Steel jump line in Bellingham, Washington. This year, the event will run the weekend of September 30, and feature two days of the ladies sending it on Bellingham’s biggest public jump line. Returning to competition on a whim, Brett Rheeder managed to link together an impressive bag of tricks on his single-crown DH bike to take the win. Freeride dark horse Dylan Stark and last year’s third place winner literally put a lighthearted middle finger to the judges and pieced together a run with his signature amplitude to take second. Finally, third place went to Spain’s Bienvenido Aguado, who
